About us
Launched in the U.S. in 1987, CIO magazine addresses issues vital to the success of chief information officers (CIOs) worldwide. CIO properties provide technology and business leaders with analysis and insight on information technology trends and a keen understanding of IT's role in achieving business goals.
The UK edition of the magazine was originally called MIS, published by Fairfax and launched in June 2000. In August 2006, IDG Communications Ltd. acquired the magazine and, after careful consultation with MIS’ readers, the name was changed to CIO. Shortly afterwards the CIO UK website was launched at www.cio.co.uk.
